(Westford) Authorities have released footage of a high-speed chase involving a dump trunk that took place Wednesday night. According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to reports of a domestic incident involving Theodore Tamminga and a family member in the Town of Westford around 7pm. The 34-year-old reportedly left the scene in the dump truck traveling on Hickory Point Road then north County Highway G, refusing to stop for the deputy. Tamminga allegedly then dumped a substantial amount of gravel on Highway G in front of the squad car. Deputies were able to navigate through the debris which covered both lanes of traffic for approximately 50 yards. He was eventually taken into custody after driving the dump truck into a field and getting stuck. Tamminga was transported to Beaver Dam Hospital where he was medically cleared before being taken to the Dodge County Jail. Tamminga has been charged with Fifth Offense OWI, felony Fleeing, and a misdemeanor charge of Operating with a revoked license. Cash bond was set at $50,000 on Friday and a judge will decide next week if there is enough evidence to order a trial.
