Fond Du Lac Teen Placed On Probation For Two Years For His Role In Vehicle Theft

(Waupun) A Fond du Lac teen was placed on probation for two years Wednesday for stealing a truck from Beaver Dam that was involved in a police chase. Tyler Rodgers pleaded guilty to a felony count of Operating A Vehicle Without Consent. The 18-year-old admitted to investigators that he stole the truck from Beaver Dam. A second suspect, 17-year-old Kaden Solano of North Fond du Lac, is facing felony vehicle theft and Fleeing charges. Waupun police on routine patrol ran the plates on the truck in September and it came back as stolen from Beaver Dam. A brief chase followed that ended with four teenagers abandoning the truck and leaving the scene; they were all later apprehended. Two of the teens were not charged because they were apparently unaware the truck was stolen. Rodgers confessed to the theft of a second vehicle. That car was taken in Fond du Lac and wound up in Beaver Dam Lake.
