(Fond du Lac) A felony count of First Degree Intentional Homicide has been filed against a Fond du Lac man. Attorney General Josh Kaul announced the charges Monday against Denell Logan which also include felony Possession of a Firearm. Callie Bender, also of Fond du Lac, is facing charges of Aiding a Felon and Straw Purchase of a Firearm for her alleged role. David Posey crashed his vehicle just after 2am on February 5th and was found by law enforcement with a gunshot wound to his left thigh. He later died from his injuries. The criminal complaint alleges that Logan shot Posey using a firearm purchased by Bender. AG Kaul says Wisconsin law prohibits the purchase of firearms for people who are not legally allowed to possess them, and the alleged facts of this case show why straw purchases are so dangerous. The case was investigated by the Fond du Lac Police Department with assistance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
