Fond Du Lac Authorities Arrest Suspect After Six-Mile Pursuit

(Fond du Lac County) Fond du Lac County authorities arrested an Appleton woman Thursday following a six-mile pursuit. Sheriff’s deputies were alerted around 3:30am that the state patrol was chasing a vehicle in Interstate 41 southbound entering Winnebago County.  

Continued reports indicated that the suspect vehicle was operating in excess of 100-miles-per-hour, was weaving in both lanes, and the driver may be impaired. A deputy observed the suspect vehicle on I-41 southbound and the driver disregarded the deputy’s emergency lights and siren and continued reaching speeds of 120-miles-per-hour. Deputies successfully deployed tire deflation devices at Townline Road.  

The suspect vehicle eventually stopped after three tires were deflated. The 25-year-old driver was taken into custody without incident. She is facing charges of felony Fleeing. No injuries were reported during the pursuit.
