After utilizing fire forensic science, covert surveillance systems, and multiple field interviews an Eden man was identified as the arson suspect. Authorities say the 40-year-old admitted to igniting several fires since 2020 and to igniting wildfires in the area for about 20 years.

They add that the suspect is believed to be responsible for burning approximately 60 acres of land during that time. Charges of Arson and Intentionally Set Fire to Land have been referred to both the district attorney’s office in Fond du Lac and Washington counties.
