First-Ever Impact Grant Recipients Announced

(BEAVER DAM) The Beaver Dam Area Community Foundation (BDACF) announced the recipients of its first-ever Impact Grant cycle, awarding a total of $41,600 to 14 nonprofit organizations serving Dodge County. The Impact Grant recipients represent a wide range of community-serving nonprofits.

Impact Grants are designed to support capital-focused projects. Grants range from $1,600 to $10,000 and prioritize projects related to beautification, construction, renovation, deferred maintenance, accessibility upgrades, and safety or energy-efficiency enhancements at nonprofit-owned facilities. Organizations awarded an Impact Grant are not eligible to reapply for three years, ensuring broad distribution of funds and long-term community benefit.

Impact Grant Recipients

1. Beaver Dam Family Center Ice Arena โ€” $3,000 To replace deteriorating exterior doors, improving safety, energy efficiency, and the buildingโ€™s overall appearance.

2. Beaver Dam Loaves & Fishes โ€” $3,000 To add kitchen storage that increases efficiency and capacity for serving weekly community meals.

3. Church Health Services โ€” $5,000 To replace aging dental clinic equipment, enhancing care quality and safety for patients.

4. Community Care Preschool & Child Care โ€” $5,000 To furnish and add air conditioning to a new classroom as the center expands services.

5. Dodge County Center for the Arts โ€” $2,000 To address eaves and downspout issues, preventing water damage and enabling lower-level expansion.

6. Dodge County Historical Society โ€” $1,600 To restore the historic front entrance ceiling and preserve the museumโ€™s primary access point.

7. GVE (Opportunities, Inc. of Jefferson County) โ€” $2,000 To support facility needs for a new program building independence and entrepreneurial skills.

8. Living Hope Food Pantry โ€” $3,000 To purchase a canopy for the organizationโ€™s gently used van, improving safe food distribution.

9. Lost Lake Randolph Historical Society โ€” $2,000 To enhance outdoor landscaping and restore the appearance of the organizationโ€™s campus.

10. Marsh Haven Nature Center โ€” $5,000 To add a natural playground that expands outdoor learning and play opportunities for families.

11. People Against a Violent Environment (PAVE) โ€” $3,000 To install an emergency notification system improving safety for shelter residents and staff.

12. St. John Lutheran Church (Fox Lake) โ€” $2,000 To expand a community-based learning and activity area that promotes health and family engagement.

13. The Gathering Source โ€” $3,000 To install exterior signage and landscaping to improve wayfinding, safety, and logistics.

14. UnMasked Expressive Therapies โ€” $2,000 To complete critical facility repairs ensuring a safe, accessible space for mental health services.
