(HORICON) A bar in Horicon is dealing with significant smoke damage after a weekend fire. The city’s fire department was called to Danny Boys on East Lake Street just after 9pm on Sunday.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they found heavy smoke coming from the building. The fire was contained to the first floor. A person trapped on the roof was quickly rescued.
The fire department was able to stop the fire from spreading beyond the first floor, but smoke caused considerable damage to the interior. There were no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by Horicon firefighters with help from the Dodge County Fire Investigation Team. Horicon fire officials say they will provide updates as more information becomes available.
