(Beaver Dam) Beaver Dam residents have until this weekend to get their leaves to the curbside for pick-up. Leaves — along with lawn grass rakings resulting from leaf gathering, garden vines and stalks – should be placed in the terrace areas of the street edge in loose piles for collection by city crews. Yard waste cannot be placed in the street or gutter, or in any containers and cannot be mixed with other forms of waste like brush or shrubbery cuttings. Beginning on Monday, city crews will make one more pass around the city in no particular order. Leaves can also be dropped off at the City Garage during business hours weekdays between 7am and 3:30pm. The yard waste drop-off site is also open this Saturday from 10am to 2pm. Tomorrow is the last Saturday the City Garage will be open for the season. Because of the extreme weather this fall, the city has announced that a spring leaf pickup will take place at a time to be determined.
