Federal Charges Filed Against Two Men Accused Of Trafficking

(Green Lake) Federal charges have been filed against two men accused of trafficking a young girl in Green Lake County. Thirty-five-year-old Julio Cesar Veleta Veleta and 32-year-old Evis Amabilio Garcia-Rivera are facing federal charges of Sex Trafficking, Sex Trafficking by Fraud, Force and Coercion and Conspiracy to Engage in Sex Trafficking. Last November, the teen victim was rescued by the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office. She reported that she had run away from a residence in the Town of Manchester where she was being trafficked. Initially six men, believed to be undocumented immigrants from Guatemala, were arrested and charged. In January, an additional three men were taken into custody in connection to the sex trafficking ring. In Green Lake County Court, Veleta is facing a felony charge of Trafficking a Child while Garcia-Rivera is charged with Second Degree Sexual Assault and Child Enticement. Both have initial appereances scheduled for June 18th on their federal charges.
