(Alto) Fatigue was determined to be a contributing factor in an early morning single vehicle crash in the town of Alto. At approximately 4:44AM Wednesday morning, Fond du Lac Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene of the accident on Highway 49 near Whooley Road.
Initial investigation showed the vehicle was heading south on Hwy 49 before crossing the centerline, entering the ditch, striking a culvert and vaulting a drive way. The lone occupant of the vehicle, a 22 year old Brandon man, was treated on scene before being transported by flight for life helicopter to a trauma center for treatment for severe but non-life-threatening injuries.
