Fairgrounds Hosting Dodge County Rodeo On Saturday

(Dodge County) The Dodge County Rodeo hits the Dodge County Fairgrounds Saturday night. Fans traveling to the fairgrounds, just outside of Beaver Dam, will be part of history as this is the only rodeo held in Dodge County.

The event, put on by Rice Rodeo Company, has 35 shows in their lineup and stands as the only International Pro Rodeo Association sanctioned show produced in the upper Midwest.

Rice Rodeo Owner and Founder David Rice says fans can expect to see all sorts of rodeo entertainment.

“There’s a lot of highlights of course, it’s going to be a full rodeo, so Bareback Bronc riding, saddle Bronc riding, bull riding, all the timed events like team roping, steer wrestling, tie down roping, girls Breakaway Roping, and of course barrel racing,” says Rice. “But of course…me being a retired bull rider myself…bull riding is always my favorite.”

Columbus native Jason Firary has worked with Rice Rodeo for five years and says anyone who attends this event will be coming to see the best of the best compete in Dodge County.

The two-hour event will feature music, pyrotechnics, comedy, and thrilling competition. The show will also feature clown comedy, boot scramble for the children, and girls’ breakaway. The Dodge County Rodeo starts at 7pm.
