(Chicago) As the Democratic National Convention kicked off in Chicago Monday, Governor Tony Evers addressed the Wisconsin delegation, touting presidential nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris
“I’ve had a chance over the last several years of meeting the vice president several times before this campaign…she is smart, she is caring, and by God, she is a leader.”
Evers also praised Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who like Evers is a former teacher. Harris and Walz will hold a rally at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee on Tuesday, the convention’s second night.
