Dodge County Master Gardener Association monthly meeting

May 28 @ 6:30 PM 8:00 PM

THIS IS AN UPDATED PRESS RELEASE WITH THE MOST CURRENT INFORMAITION DUE TO A CHANGE IN THE MAY SPEAKER. The Dodge County Master Gardener Association will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Moraine Park Technical College, Beaver Dam, WI. The program is free and open to gardeners of all levels of experience and skill. Participants will also become familiar with the Master Gardener program and meet others with gardening interests. This month’s presentation is Native Grasses by Susan Carpenter. Native grasses are a key element in native plant gardens. They provide structure, texture, color, and habitat. Discover native grasses suitable for different light and soil conditions. Learn about tall and short species, seasonal growth patterns, as well as varied forms and bloom times. Enhance your garden with hardy and easy-to-grow native grasses. Susan Carpenter is the Native Plant Garden curator and gardener at the UW–Madison Arboretum. Since 2003, she has worked with students and community volunteers to maintain and monitor a 4-acre garden representing the plant communities of southern Wisconsin.
