Elite Dance Centre located in Beaver Dam saw their dancers win multiple national championships at the Platinum National Dance Competition last week in Nashville, Tennessee.
The PrePro Production piece, “Dance Studio Airlines” was named the national champion in the Elite/Advanced Division. It’s the 2nd national championship for the ProPro Production in three years as they also won a national title for their “Workout” dance in Ocean City, Maryland in 2023.
Also taking home National Championships were; Manny Wike for his “Days Like This” routine in the Elite/Advanced Division. Wilke along with Ella Gochenauer and Meika Baley on a national title for their “Money” performance in the Elite /Advanced Division. Wilke, Baley, Gochenauer, McKenzie Gillenkirk, Lily Peterson, Mia Bonilla and Hope Krebs also won a National Title for their Slim Shady routine in the Elite/Advanced Division.
Wilke’s “Days Like This” also scored the highest of any of the over 700 routines at the event.
In the Intermediate Division – Ava Ackley, Nora White and Evie Reader won a national championship for their Fabulous Girls routine.
“This Nationals was the most successful in EDC’s history (12 years!!) but what means the most isn’t the trophies, banners and medals” Elite Dance Centre owner Scott Topel told DailyDodte.com. “It’s the joy on our dancers faces, the memories made with my own little family, and the chance to bring it all home to the families who make EDC what it is. I’ll never stop being grateful for this community, for my EDC families trust, and for the love that fills every moment we share together.”
EDC was also named an ADCC National Studio of Excellence. “We are beyond proud to have received the ADCC National Studio Award, given to the one studio that best represents the values of teamwork, versatility, and technical excellence across all genres of advanced-level dance.” Topel said. “This national recognition speaks volumes about our dancers, choreographers, and studio family. What an incredible moment!”
