Edwin W. Bublitz, Jr., age 72, of Beaver Dam passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Waupun.
The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home on Thursday at 12:00 noon with Rev. David Brandt officiating.
Edwin “Ed” W. Bublitz, Jr. was born in Hartford, Wisconsin on May 5, 1952. He is the son of the late Edwin and Doris (Moldenhauer) Bublitz, Sr. He graduated from Lakeside Lutheran and attended college. On August 19, 1990, he married Barbara Korth at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Watertown. Ed worked at Perry Printing, Royle Printing, Conley Printing, Quad Graphics, and John Deere. He had worked with his dad driving fuel truck years ago.
Ed loved to play euchre, sheepshead, boardgames, and most of all, loved to play trivia. He loved to fish and loved his family. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Juneau.
Ed is survived by his wife of almost 34 years, Barb, of Beaver Dam; children, Gillian (Josh) Irwin of Wisconsin Rapids, Eli Bublitz (Trinity) of Beaver Dam, Edwin (Michelle) Bublitz, III of Sun Prairie, and Cossette (Trevor) Nasiedlak of Minnesota; grandchildren, Clayton, Ella, Lucy, William, Christian, Levi, and Evander; great granddaughter, Harley; siblings, Bonnie (Dave) Bischoff of Juneau, Alan (Janet) of Eau Claire, Joyce (Ric) Roth of Georgia, Chris (Marty) Sell of Juneau, and William (Rhonda) of Sun Prairie; aunt and uncle, Marion and Walter Muller of Texas; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made in Ed’s name to St. John’s Lutheran Church or to Lakeside Lutheran School.
