Early Morning Shooting in Beaver Dam Leaves One Injured

BEAVER DAM — Police are investigating after a man was shot early Saturday morning in Beaver Dam.

According to the Beaver Dam Police Department, officers responded at about 12:53 a.m. Saturday, May 30, to the 300 block of North Spring Street for a report of a male victim struck by gunfire.

Police say officers began providing emergency first aid at the scene until Beaver Dam Fire Department personnel arrived and took over care. The victim was taken to Marshfield Medical Center and later flown to UW Hospital in Madison. Police described his condition as serious but stable.

Witnesses told police the suspect was last seen running from the area on foot. Police say the scene was secured and processed by law enforcement, and officers later determined there was no other threat to the public.

The incident remains under investigation.

The Beaver Dam Police Department was assisted by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and Beaver Dam Fire and EMS.
