(Slinger) The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says Ney’s Natural Premium Meats and Sweets in Slinger is issuing a voluntary Class I recall. The recall is for packaged pizzas sold at retail.
One is a Nico’s Authentic Premium 12-inch combo pizza and the other is a Nico’s Authentic Premium 12-inch sausage pizza. The affected products carry a mark of inspection with establishment number 177 and package code 04823. The package codes can be found directly below the state of Wisconsin inspection legend on product labels.
The DATCP says the recall was initiated based on evidence collected during a routine inspection. They say the products were produced without the benefit of an inspection. No illnesses have been reported as a result of consuming these products.
Anyone with signs or symptoms of a foodborne illness should contact their doctor. Consumers who have these products can discard them.
