Doris D. Arndorfer, age 90, formerly of Beaver Dam, died peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Benedictine Living Community in Northfield, Minnesota.
The visitation will be at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church on Monday, March 30 at 10:30 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church at 11:30 a.m. with Fr. Will Arnold officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Doris Delores Arndorfer was born on January 9, 1936 to Aloysius and Hildegarde (Noll) Schulteis. She was a 1954 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. Doris worked as a bookkeeper at Matlin Furniture and married Ralph Arndorfer at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam on October 22, 1955. She raised five children and worked as a bookkeeper for Tennessen Contractors. She was a dedicated member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish where she attended Mass regularly, was a member of the New Life Choir and Catholic Women. She volunteered at Hillside Manor, Eagles Wings and for Meals on Wheels. Doris enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, reading books, playing cards or board games, baking, doing puzzles and watching them participate in musical and sports activities.
Survivors are her children, Peggy (John) Knothe of Johns Island, SC, Mary (Darcy) LaVeau of Austin, TX, Barbara (Matthew) McDonald of Northfield, MN; grandchildren, Joseph (Fhon), Eric (Ashley Logan), and Gregory (Candice) Knothe, Kerry (Sara) Bence, Nicolet (Andrew Rohlfs) LaVeau, Andrew (Emma) LaVeau, Katelyn (Jonathan) Schoessow and Thomas (Cassandra) McDonald; ten great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph in 2017, daughter, Catherine Zuhlke, son, Steven “Chewy,” four sisters, and one brother.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Benedictine Memory Care unit and Superior Hospice for their compassionate care.
