(Dodge County) Regional vehicle sales through the first two months of the year continue to see a strong improvement over 2023.
According to the Waterloo-based industry-tracking firm Reg-Trak, there were 460 vehicle sales in Dodge County through February, which is a 13-percent jump over last year.
There three fewer car sales but there were 56 more truck sales or a 15-percent bump. In Columbia County, vehicle sales were up 17-percent with 394 sold, 59 more than in the same timeframe last year.
Truck sales were up nearly 17-percent while car sales increased by 24-percent.
In Jefferson County, 389 vehicles rolled off dealer lots in the first two months of 2024, a 12-percent improvement than then 347 sold last year. Car sales increased by eight-percent while truck sales jumped by 12-percent.
The nine-county, south-central Wisconsin region as a whole experienced a 13-percent rise in vehicle sales with 6,562. Truck sales in the region were up nearly 16-percent while car sales dipped by just over two-percent.ย ย
