Dodge County Vehicle Sales See Small Increase Over 2023

(Dodge County) Vehicle sales in Dodge County have seen a slight improvement when compared to last year’s numbers.

According to the Waterloo-based industry tracking firm Reg-Trak, there have been 1,920 cars and light trucks sold in Dodge County through the first eight months of the year, 50 more than last year by this time, an increase of 2.6-percent. Car sales did see a 10-percent decrease with 20 fewer sold in 2024 while truck sales were up just over four-percent.

Jefferson County sales were up 4.6-percent with 1,707 sold, compared to 1,632 through August of last year. Car sales in the county fell seven-percent while truck sales increased by six-percent.

Columbia County saw 1,668 vehicles roll off dealer lots compared to the 1,710 during the same timeframe in 2023, a drop of 2.4-percent. Car sales were down nine-percent while trucks saw a near two-percent decrease.

For the nine-county, south central Wisconsin region as a whole, vehicle sales were up 2.3-percent with 28,289 sold, 659 more than last year. Car sales declined by 10-percent, truck sales increased by 4.5-percent.
