(Dodge County) Wisconsin surpasses one million coronavirus cases. State health officials report Wisconsin passed the one-million case mark over the weekend. There have been one-million, 51-hundred, 50 cases of COVID since the pandemic began. There have been ten-thousand, 75 COVID deaths Wisconsin, and hospitalizations remain high statewide. Despite health care authorities urging people to get vaccinated, fewer than 60-percent of Wisconsin’s population has completed the vaccination series.
In Dodge County, just over 50-percent of the population has received at least one dose of the vaccine 47.9-percent have completed the vaccination series. All counties surrounding Dodge County have over 50-percent of their citizens completely vaccinated. The county remains in the critically high COVID activity level, according to the state health department. Health officials say the county has a growing case trajectory of 22-percent. Fond du Lac, Washington, and Jefferson counties are also in the critically high category.
