Dodge County UW-Extension Announces Gardener Hotline – Program For Container Gardening

(Juneau) A new helpline is available for local green thumbs. The Dodge County Master Gardener Association and Dodge County UW-Extension have announced the Ask a Master Gardener Helpline. Certified gardening volunteers will answer your questions about your yard, garden or plants every Tuesday mornings from 9am to noon and Thursday afternoons from 1pm to 4pm, beginning May 1 and continuing through September 6. The volunteers will be at the Dodge County Administration building in Juneau, on the first floor in Room 1E. The Dodge County Association for Home and Community Education is inviting the public to an upcoming seminar that will discuss container gardening. Dodge County Master Gardener Volunteer Carol Shirk will present different ways to make the perfect container garden. Her presentation will be followed by a visual demonstration of a container being filled plants and flowers. One individual will be able to take the filled container home. The program will be held April 30 beginning at 6:30pm at the Dodge County Administration Building Auditorium located at 127 East Oak Street in Juneau. Those interested must pre-register by the UW-Extension office at 920-386-3790.
