Dodge County Surpasses 100 Coronavirus Deaths, 10K Cases

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 1826 positive coronavirus cases in Sunday’s daily update. There are 36,736 active cases in the state, a decrease of 1,615 from Saturday. Active cases make up eight-percent (8%) of the 457-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 416-thousand recoveries.

The state reported 18 deaths bringing that total to 4,417. Deaths account for one-percent (1%) of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 315-thousand people were from the United States.

Dodge County’s death toll surpassed 100 over the weekend with 107 deaths now on record, after one was reported Sunday and eleven others reported on Friday and Saturday. The 18 positive tests announced yesterday pushed Dodge County past 10-thousand total cases (10,017).  The county had 57 negative tests returned for a running total of 35,874.

Washington County has 92 deaths on record along with 10,907 cases to date, with 1,350 active cases. Fond du Lac County reported one death yesterday for a total of 61 deaths with 9,942 positive tests on record; 949 are active cases. The state says Jefferson County has seen 51 deaths, and 6,267 cases to date; with 471 active cases. Columbia County has now experienced a 25th deaths and has had 3,021 positive tests; currently the county has 318 active cases. Green Lake County has reported 10 deaths with 1,348 cases on record, with 106 cases reported in the last two weeks.
