(Juneau) The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office recently received a certificate from state Attorney General Josh Kaul recognizing their commitment towards keeping children safe. The certificate recognizes a 15-year partnership between the office and the Wisconsin Internet Crimes Against Children taskforce. Sheriff Dale Schmidt says that while investigating these types of crimes are not enjoyable, they are rewarding.
“We get to hold these people accountable and get them off the streets,” says Schmidt. “So, [there is] pros and cons with it, but we work really hard, and I’m very proud of that detective bureau and the work that they do, and our community can be proud of them as well.”
The collaborative approach has resulted in numerous arrests each year all in the interest of keeping the community safe, especially children.
