Dodge County Sheriff Advises on Snow Plow Following Rules

(Juneau) Local law enforcement is reminding motorists this winter to give snowplows enough room to plow snow and salt the roads while driving. It is the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office December Law of the Month.
According to state statutes, the operator of any vehicle that is not a snowplow may not follow a snowplow closer than two hundred feet upon any highway having a posted speed limit of more than 35 miles per hour or seventy-five feet upon any highway having a posted speed limit of 35 miles per hour or less, while engaged in highway winter maintenance, snow and ice removal, and using lamps.
