(Dodge County) Dodge County and several of its communities were awarded state funding for road projects. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation recently announced that approximately $149-million-dollars in state funding was allocated for 342 local improvement projects to be completed over the next five years.
Nearly $4.2-million will go towards addressing roads in Dodge County. Those projects include County Highway M and W, Lake Emily Road in the town of Fox Lake, Morningside Road in the town of Lebanon, Curie Street in Beaver Dam, and Jackson Street in the village of Reeseville.
Governor Tony Evers says Wisconsinโs towns, villages, cities, and counties worked closely with state transportation officials to plan these projects. He says he is confident they will make a real difference for communities.
The funding comes from the state supported Local Roads Improvement Program. The program is funded under the 2021-23 biennial budget, in addition to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.ย
