(Beaver Dam) The Dodge County Human Services and Health Department is highlighting an upcoming program aimed at helping people with diabetes and pre-diabetes. The Healthy Living with Diabetes workshop gives participants strategies for managing diabetes including techniques to deal with symptoms and information about healthy eating, appropriate use of medication, exercise and working effectively with health care providers.
Organizers say those who attend will also learn to make realistic, achievable action plans, share their experiences and help each other solve problems. The workshops are sponsored by the Dodge and Fond du Lac County’s Aging and Disability Resource Centers. Healthy Living with Diabetes will be held on Wednesdays, May 3rd through June 7th, from 1pm to 3pm at the SSM Health Dean Clinic.
