(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 1,300 positive coronavirus cases in Friday’s daily update. There are 70,977 active cases in the state, a decrease of 3,681 from Thursday. Active cases make up 18.9-percent of the 375-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 301-thousand recoveries.
The state reported 17 deaths bringing that total to 3,257. Deaths account for point-nine-percent (.09) of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says around 262-thousand people were from the United States.
Dodge County has now experienced 71 deaths, and 8,211 cases to date. The county had 152 negative tests returned, for a running total of 33,123.
Washington County has seen 69 deaths along with running total of 8,607 cases. Fond du Lac County has reported 50 deaths and has 8,154 positive tests on record. The state reports Jefferson County has a total of 37 deaths and 5,142 cases to date. There have been 10 deaths in Columbia County and 3,355 positive tests to date. Green Lake County has six deaths and 1,161 cases on record.
