(Dodge County) Dodge County has seen a three-week rise in the percentage of positive tests, according to the latest update from the Dodge County Health Department. From September 7th through the 13th, county health officials say 16.9-percent of all tests administered were positive. That figure is more than doubled what the rate was on August 23rd when the weekly percentage of positive tests was 8.6-percent.
The daily percentage of positive tests also continues to climb upward over the last month and is currently at 6.5-percent. County health officials say the goal is a percentage lower than five along with a downward trajectory of positive tests.
Of the 162 people who tested positive last week, 25 reported attending a large gathering, party or meeting with people from outside their home. Fourteen people were admitted to the hospital while three others were put on ventilators to assist with breathing.
Dodge County remains in phase two of its three phase Safe Restart Plan. The only metric of the plan that is still in red is case status while contact tracing is in yellow. Testing, hospitals and PPE are in the green.
