(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials reported 989 positive coronavirus cases in Friday’s daily update, which is 7-percent of the 14,000 tests announced. There are 9,516 active cases in the state, a decrease of 46 from Thursday. Active cases make up 16.2-percent of the 58-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 48-thousand recoveries.
There were 12 deaths reported by state health officials, for a total of 990. Deaths accounted 1.7-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 8.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there has been 157-thousand deaths while the worldwide death is widely reported to be around 716-thousand.
Dodge County has five deaths on record and 782 cases, an increase of 25 from Thursday. The county had 310 negative tests returned for a running total of 16,371. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 164 people while 375 have recovered.
Washington County has 22 deaths and 991 cases.
Fond du Lac County now has seven deaths and 612 positive tests to date.
Jefferson County has five deaths along with 612 cases.
There has been one death in Columbia County where there have been 241 positive cases.
Green Lake County now has 55 cases.
