(Juneau) The Dodge County Master Gardener Association is again looking to award a $1000 scholarship to a graduating Dodge County high school senior who is planning for a career in some area of horticulture.
The winning student must have applied to a two or four year accredited college or technical school that has a program leading to a degree or certification in the horticultural area. Careers examples include, but are not limited to, teaching, plant pathology, agricultural engineer, landscape contractor, or landscape architect.
As part of the scholarship application, students will be required to write a statement of 300 or fewer words explaining how their chosen career will meet the requirement of horticultural related studies. Additionally, applicants will need to provide two letters of recommendation.
The Dodge County Master Gardener Association will be accepting completed scholarship forms which must be submitted or postmarked no later than March 20th, 2019. Applications with complete instructions will be available within the school guidance offices located at Dodge County area high schools.
