(Dodge County) Regional jobless claims stayed relatively steady in the second month of 2025.
The state Department of Workforce Development says the unemployment rate in Dodge County was 3.3-percent in February, a two-tenths of percent jump from January. Last year, the number was 3.2-percent. Dodge County also fell two spots in the statewide unemployment ranking to 14th.
Fond du Lac County’s January unemployment was 3.3-percent, in February it was 3.4-percent. Last year, the rate was 2.9-percent.
Columbia County’s month-to-month jobless numbers went from 3.3-percent to 3.6-percent. A year ago, the figure was 3.2-percent.
Jefferson County’s unemployment rate was a one-tenth of percent increase, going to 3.4-percent in February. The number in 2024 was 3.2-percent.
Statewide, the unemployment rate was 3.2-percent in February.
