(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam School District is going to scale back some COVID-related alerts to parents. Close contact notifications are being ended because Superintendent Mark DiStefano says there is concern with diluting the communication process.
DiStefano says there is already a general health expectation that families are monitoring for symptoms given close contact in the general student population. The district will continue to send out notifications when there is a confirmed cluster of COVID cases tied to a classroom.
The school district will be launching a webpage this month to serve as a resource for families navigating isolation timelines and other COVID-related questions.
