(JUNEAU) Dodge County is moving forward with plans to improve how public safety officials communicate with one another. The county board voted Tuesday night to partner with TUSA Consulting to create a plan for maintaining and improving the countyโs radio system.
The firm put together a report that it presented back in August that outlined numerous issues including unreliable coverage and audio quality. They recommended bringing tower sites up to standard, stabilize current operations, and begin plans to buy a new countywide communication system.
TUSA will help oversee preventative maintenance projects for just under $32,000. The county also set aside $53,520 to have TUSA help plan and purchase the new radio system.
