(JUNEAU) Dodge County managed to dodge the worst of the severe storms that blew through Wisconsin last night. County Emergency Management Director Joe Meagher says there are no reports of major damage. He says Dodge Countyโs biggest problem could be flooding.
“So far, so good in this area. There are a couple of county roads as we were doing damage assessment, where the water was getting close to the edges. We’ll continue to work with (the county) highway (department). If we have to shut those roads down, we’ll work either highway or the local township.”
A chance of severe storms is in the forecast again today and on Friday.
In other parts of Wisconsin, it was a different story. A house in Jefferson lost its roof. More than 2,500 homes and businesses lost electricity. Power outages forced many schools around Wisconsin to close on Wednesday. Large hail, downed trees, and limbs did considerable damage.
