Dodge County Authorities Assist Fond Du Lac Sheriff’s Office In Ending Pursuit Involving Stolen Vehicle

(Waupun) Dodge County law enforcement aided in ending an eight-mile pursuit involving a stolen vehicle over the weekend. Fond du Lac County sheriff’s deputies were notified around 6pm Saturday that the suspect vehicle was heading to the area from Winnebago County.

The car was stolen by two teens, ages 16-and-17-years-old, from Rawhide Ranch. Fond du Lac deputies followed the vehicle westbound on Highway TC, eventually attempting a box-in maneuver near Highway 49. The suspects were able to avoid the maneuver and accelerated at a high speed towards Waupun.

A Dodge County sheriff’s deputy and two Waupun police officers were able to successfully deploy tire deflation devices, deflating all four of the vehicle’s tires. As the suspects entered Waupun the driver lost control, ran off the roadway and rear-ended another vehicle. Both occupants were taken into custody.

The 17-year-old was taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail. The 16-year-old was transported to the county’s juvenile detention facility for their involvement. There were no injuries reported.
