DCSO Identifies The Two People Killed In Multi-Vehicle Crash In Chester

(Chester) Authorities have identified the two people killed in a multi-vehicle crash in the town of Chester last Wednesday. Just before 3am on October 25th, Dodge County dispatchers began taking 911 calls of a white box truck traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Highway 151 near Highway 49.

Soon after, there were reports that the box truck had crashed into another vehicle. Law enforcement learned that the truck, operated by a 69-year-old man from Pennsylvania, collided head-on with a northbound Kia passenger car. A Chevrolet car, also heading north on 151, then struck the Kia which had four occupants.

The driver of the Kia, 25-year-old Danis Vargas Alvarenga, was pronounced dead at the scene as was his passenger, 28-year-old Yorling Gonzalez Gutierrez. The two other passengers were transported to a local hospital where they still remain at this time.

The three occupants of the Chevrolet were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
