DCCA Has New Gallery Coordinator

(Beaver Dam) The Dodge County Center for the Arts has a new gallery coordinator. Mary Fitzgerald will be stepping into the newly created role.

President of the Center for the Arts Kraig Kasten spoke on the change and why they are excited to welcome Fitzgerald into the new role.

“We really needed someone to coordinate our efforts in the art world rather than manage people and Mary stepped in and said it would be a great opportunity”.

Fitzgerald recently retired from full-time work and is excited to hone her talents to helping the Center for the Arts.

“It’s going to give me an opportunity to work with a small community, the art center community and promote it,” Fitzgerald says. “I’ll be able to work on new partnerships, new initiatives, new classes, recruiting new artists, reaching out to other art centers, learning different ways of doing things and just be a really fun thing to do and get more people interested and into our center.”

The gallery coordinator position was created following the departure of Amy McPherson, who had been serving as the Dodge County Center for the Arts gallery manager.
