(Madison) The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection is reminding agricultural producers and commercial pesticides applicators of federal regulatory changes related to over-the-top (OTT) dicamba products.
On February 6, 2024, the U.S. District Court of Arizona vacated the registrations for OTT dicamba products, which are labeled for post-emergent or OTT application to dicamba tolerant soybeans.
Impacted products include Engenia Herbicide manufactured by BASF, Xtendimax with ViceGrip Technology made by Bayer CropScience, and Tavium Plus SuperGrip Technology, a Syngenta product.
On February 14, the United States Environmental Protection Agency issued a cancellation to clarify what needs to be done with existing stocks in the channels of trade.
There are a few upcoming dates that stock owners should be aware of. May 31: this is the last day existing stocks from February 6 can be sold in the existing channels of trade. Use of these products can continue dicamba tolerant soybeans until the label cutoff date of June 30.
