CWC Holds Open House For $11-Million Expansion

(Waupun) Members of the public were able to tour Central Wisconsin Christian in Waupun over the weekend to see the results of an $11-million-dollar expansion. The schoolโ€™s Director of Advancement Gregg Zonnefeld says over the past decade they have had five different building projects and built three additions within the last four years.

Meanwhile, in the past three years their student enrollment has increased from 393 to 528 students. Zonnefeld says the expansion project that finished last month was their largest ever. It was a 31-thousand-square-foot addition which included seven new classrooms for elementary students, and a 25-hundred-square-foot Discovery Center otherwise referred to as a Library Media Center.

Zonnefeld says for the high school they built three new classrooms and a seven-thousand-square-foot lab for their agriculture, professional trades, and technical skills students. The lab contains eight welding booths and room for those in construction trades.

They also added a 15-hundred-square-foot greenhouse for horticulture and agricultural students. Zonnefeld says the landscape around them in education is changing and they need to continue to provide students with life prep.
