(JUNEAU) Dodge County’s Clearview nursing home could have a new executive director in place by early June.
County Board Chairman Dave Frohling said the final decision will come from County Administrator Cameron Clapper, with input from the county’s Human Resources Committee and the Human Services and Health Board.
“It’s his appointment,” Frohling said, noting the county board’s role will be to ratify that choice.
The county is accepting applications through mid-April. Frohling said the timeline to hire will depend on the strength of candidates and whether they meet licensing requirements, but the goal is to have someone in the role around June 1.
In the meantime, the facility is continuing to operate without disruption. Alyssa Gahlman is serving as interim executive director. Frohling described day-to-day operations as “very smooth.”
The leadership change follows the departure of former director Ed Somers, who was placed on leave in March amid allegations of inappropriate workplace behavior. County officials have said the matter is confidential.
