(Horicon) Voting is now underway for the 2024 Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest. Officials with Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce say there are 130 nominees for the 9th annual competition which highlights the stateโs nearly $72-billion-dollar manufacturing industry.
The companies employ nearly 500,000 residents, invest in their communities, contribute to the economy, and more. One of the products nominated is the John Deere X700 Signature Series tractors, manufactured in Horicon.
Voting will determine the Top 16 products that will compete in a bracket-style tournament called Manufacturing Madness. During each of the rounds, the public is encouraged to vote once per day.
Round one voting goes through September 24th. Ultimately, the 2024 Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin will be crowned at Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerceโs Business Day in Madison on October 17th.
