(Beaver Dam) After over five years of discussion and delays, a contractor has been hired to paint the water tower in downtown Beaver Dam. The common council Monday night hired James Orr Coating Inspection at a cost of $1.1-million dollars. The work next year will include the application of four coats on the exterior, three coats on the interior and two coats on the legs. A wraparound design features the city logo on two sides with the tagline: “Beaver Dam, Life Here Is Good.” The new coat is expected to last 25 years. Money for the project comes from the Water Utility budget.
