(Madison) The company which bought the bankrupt Bon-Ton stores chain is moving quickly to reopen some of the closed retail outlets. C-S-C Generation is said to be discussing the idea with landlords in Wisconsin and three other states. When the parent company declared bankruptcy, a dozen Wisconsin stores closed their doors, putting 22-hundred workers out of a job at Younkers, Carson’s, Herberger’s and Boston Stores. C-S-C reportedly plans to reopen some of those stores, if the court gives its approval. Its website claims C-S-C is “saving companies from Amazon.” No word yet on where any new stores would be located or whether the new owners would maintain all seven department store brand names.
