Columbus Man Sentenced To Seven Years In Prison For Selling Meth

(Columbus) A Columbus man was sentenced Thursday to seven years in prison for selling illegal drugs in Beaver Dam. In July, Joshua Rennock entered a guilty plea to a felony count of Manufacturing and Deliver Methamphetamine. Four additional felony drug charges were dismissed but read into the record. Beaver Dam police along with the Dodge County Sheriff’s set up three controlled purchases of meth from Rennock in January. While on probation in April, the 36-year-old fronted the confidential informant over 14 grams of meth. At sentencing, Dodge County District Attorney Kurt Klomberg said methamphetamine is becoming entrenched in our community. He said there is no experimentation with this drug; adding that you either do not use it or it destroys you. Klomberg said people who distribute the drug will be dealt with sternly. Rennock was also placed on extended supervision for five years.
