Classes Canceled At Fond Du Lac High School Following Threat

(Fond du Lac) Classes are canceled at Fond du Lac High School Tuesday as the district responds to an apparent threat of violence. A letter home to Parents states that a snapchat message was circulating saying quote “there are threats of an 11th and 12th grader having a gun” and quote “pretty much the school might get shot up tomorrow…so if you, guys have a choice to not go then don’t.”

The Fond du Lac Police Department were notified of the threat Monday afternoon and an investigation is ongoing. In the districts statement, Superintendent of schools Jeffrey Fleig says given the late notice of the potential threat, and events that have occurred over the past two weeks, there was no choice but to cancel classes for Tuesday.

Currently there is no word on if classes will resume Wednesday.
