City Of Beaver Dam To Begin Sending Out Absentee Ballots

(Beaver Dam) The city of Beaver Dam Clerk’s Office will be sending out absentee ballots for the November election to voters by mail Thursday, September 19th. The ballots will only be sent out to a valid request on file. City Administrator Nathan Thiel says they can be returned in a few different ways.

“You can either drop them off at the clerk’s office…you can stick them in the post, in the mail…we also do have some secure drop boxes that are in front of city hall and connect to the building on the backside…which we’d recommend that one,” says Thiel. “They’re surveillance by camera…so, just encourage everyone that wants to vote, please do.”

Officials with the clerk’s office say the surveillance cameras are checked multiple times a day. They add that the drop boxes at city hall, located at 205 South Lincoln Avenue, are the only ones in Beaver Dam. The hours for the clerk’s office for those wanting to drop off absentee ballots in person are 7:30am to 4pm Monday through Friday.

In person absentee voting will begin on October 22nd and conclude on November 1st. Election Day is November 5th.
