(Waupun) A private school in Waupun is moving forward with plans to expand their facility. A supporting constituency of Central Wisconsin Christian recently approved the Legacy Vision Project, on a 115-to-1 vote.
The $16.9-million-dollar overall plan will increase capacity at the middle school, add nearly 15-thousand square feet for the schoolโs AgProTech program, and add 15-thousand square feet of elementary classroom space. Future work will include new music classrooms and fine arts performance spaces, and an athletic complex that would add a baseball stadium, track, and a concessions plaza.
Each portion of the four phase project will begin when 70-percent of cash and pledges for that particular plan have been committed. To date, the school as surpassed the $6-million-dollar mark. Making a fall groundbreaking for classroom expansion a reality.
CWC Administrator Mark Buteyn says it is humbling to see their school community united in their desire to move forward and carry out their mission. Excel of Fond du Lac is serving as the projectโs architect while WDS Construction of Beaver Dam is the general contractor.
The current middle school expansion will be ready for occupancy in August while other classroom phases are slated to be open for students in the fall of 2023.
