(Mayville) The Mayville Fire Department responded to a car fire Tuesday morning on the 300 block of Jannsen Boulevard. Witnesses say the driver was delivering newspapers when his car became fully engulfed in flames around 7:15am. Initial officers responding attempted to snuff out the blaze with a fire extinguisher but it was too intense and was finally brought under control around 7:30am by Mayville Fire with assistance from Kekoskee Fire.
