(Campbellsport) A felon from Campbellsport is facing a variety of charges after allegedly trying to take firearms from a residence attached to a gas station while drunk. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Dins Garage and Mini Mart in Dundee around 2:30pm Wednesday following reports of a man threatening to cause damage in the downtown.
The suspect, who was out on bail on charges of Resisting or Obstructing an Officer and Disorderly Conduct, had apparently been loading the firearms into his pickup truck. The 52-year-old was taken into custody without incident on charges of Making Terrorist Threats, Felon in Possession of Firearm, Armed With A Firearm while Intoxicated, Second Offense Operating While Intoxicated, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Disorderly Conduct and Bail Jumping.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the State Patrol, Campbellsport Police, and Campbellsport Ambulance.
